[Narrative of the trial of Mary Queen of Scots, at Fotheringay, Oct 13-15, 1586], [ca. 1600?].

Manuscript, in a single hand, of an account of the proceedings, the copy occasionally corrected and blanks filled by another hand. The manuscript begins on Wednesday, October 12, 1586, with the consideration by the commission of a report of Sir Amias Paulet's message to Mary; and ends with a description of the counsel's examination of a series of letters, including one from Mary declaring her intention to bestow the English crown on the King of Spain and several between Mary and William Allen. Several leaves are missing at both the beginning and end of the text.
